Eddie Binder
As the founder of Apex Growth Strategies, I am focused on and dedicated to helping clients grow and realize their value creation objectives. I am passionate about seeing my clients succeed and bring that enthusiasm to every engagement. Whether in my strategic planning work or serving as an Independent Director, it is especially gratifying to see my client portfolio companies, management teams and private equity investors realize success in the marketplace, benefit from successful exits and thereafter experience continuing growth.
Prior to starting AGS, I worked in senior management roles with recognized consumer products companies. I was an Executive Vice President and Operating Committee member of Spalding Sports Worldwide (a Kohlberg Kravis Roberts company), where I had global marketing and product responsibilities for the company's golf and sporting goods brands. For my work revitalizing Spalding's golf brands, I was named to GolfWeek magazine's list of the "Top 40 Executives Under 40."
Prior to Spalding, I was Vice President of Marketing for Dunkin' Donuts, where my team and I led development and implementation of an integrated plan to make Dunkin' Donuts the sales growth leader in the quick service restaurant industry. For these results, I was named to Advertising Age magazine's list of "America's Top 100 Marketers"
I have had bylines on politics and municipal golf published in the Washington Post and Global Golf Post. I continue to enjoy playing golf and SpeedGolf, where I carry six clubs in a light bag and run while playing the course. Sometimes, I play better this way than I do with 14 clubs at a walking pace. There’s some irony in that.
Today, Eddie resides in Washington, DC with his wife, Kathy, while their three children, Evan, Celia and Aaron, are out in the world doing great things.
